Mark Farrell has heard that seemingly innocuous question “Are you blind?” many times… And while it can leave someone with a visual disability feeling inadequate or angry, Mark always responds politely, “No, I’m not blind, but I am visually impaired.” Mark developed a get-up-and go, optimistic outlook and seeks out activities which make him happiest. His optimism includes a passion for life and music, an appreciation for life’s little things: a hearty laugh, a good song, a delicious meal, a perfect sunny day, and a great bike race or triathlon. He works as a talk show host and on-camera personality, producing show topics as well as interviewing guests for his public affairs radio talk show and podcasts. www.markfarrellmotivation.com
Kevin Brousard
Born with a rare retinal disorder, Kevin has been legally blind since as far back as he can remember. The target of bullying and ridicule as a child due to his vision led him down a dark road of depression and anxiety. Eventually, Kevin found an outlet through the world of adaptive sports. In track and field, Kevin has amassed 3 world titles, 3 Pan American titles and the US Paralympic record in the discus. He also competed internationally for the USA Judo Paralympic team for 3 years. Kevin currently serves as the Programs and Finance Director for the US Association of Blind Athletes (USABA)..
