From Our Founder
The Foreseeable Future Foundation has grown tremendously in the 3 years we have been a 501c3 organization. Our mission has come to fruition over the past three years and we have been able to help hundreds of visually impaired and blind youth by partnering with like-minded organizations.
The disruption of COVID-19 has profoundly impacted everyone around the world. The visually impaired and blind have been affected even more so, creating challenges that many have not had to contemplate or deal with previously. Social distancing, gym closures, event cancellations and the lack of human interaction has created significant challenges to staying active both mentally and physically. Outlets, like video conferencing, that have been a rare source of joy and comfort in these trying times are not always accessible to the visually impaired and blind community making virtual connections nearly impossible. Lack of connection compounded with fewer physical connections has led to a lack of comradery, which reduces motivation and leads to a greater sense of disconnection in an otherwise connected world.
With this year’s challenges aside, we remain steadfastly focused on our core mission and goals. We are prioritizing the health and wellbeing of the visually impaired and blind youth and are looking forward to 2022. Foreseeable Future Foundation is continuing its grant and scholarship program, which creates opportunities for individuals and organizations to pursue their goals and dreams. We want to thank you again for your continued support and hope you can be part of our vision for 2022 and beyond.
