2019 Foreseeable Future Foundation Benefit
to Be Held May 16th in NYC
Celebrating the Inclusion of Visually Impaired and Blind Athletes Around the World
Honorees Include Gary Sheinbaum, Chief Executive Officer of Tommy Hilfiger Americas
& Jason Romero, Paralympian & Extreme Endurance Athlete
MLB Legends Doc Gooden & Mookie Wilson to Attend
(New York City, April 24, 2019) ̶ On May 16, 2019, Foreseeable Future Foundation (FFF) is excited to announce their second annual “Seeing Past Sight Ball” benefit at Tribeca Rooftop (2 Desbrosses St) in NYC from 6-9PM. The FFF, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, works to support visually impaired and blind individuals through sports and recreation; helping them build confidence, overcome adversity and enjoy sports! Through their efforts, FFF hopes to bring the sighted and sightless community together to build one mutually beneficial and enriched network. This year’s guests of honor include former NY Mets MLB outfielder and coach Mookie Wilson and Doc Gooden, former pitcher of the NY Mets, NY Yankees and more.
The May 16th benefit will honor Gary Sheinbaum, CEO of Tommy Hilfiger Americas, in recognition of Tommy Hilfiger Adaptive, an innovative collection of modified mainstream apparel that caters to the needs of people with disabilities; and Jason Romero, Paralympian and Extreme Endurance Athlete who suffers from Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease causing permanent blindness. Foreseeable Future Foundation has helped fund over a dozen organizations across 10 different states with programs for the visually impaired including Camp Abilities in 6 cities, ENVISION, Tri Achilles and the Tennessee Paralympic Open. Grants have also helped send blind veterans to the USABA Cycling Camp at the Olympic Facility in Colorado Springs. Friends of FFF include Jake Olson (blind USC football player) and Evander Holyfield.
Foreseeable Future Foundation recently launched two new funding opportunities – one for individuals (for a single person to participate in an event) and grants for groups (funds to help an institution or team to impact multiple people). Applicants can apply on the website and the application period is open from March 1 – April 29, 2019.
Foreseeable Future Foundation: Founded in 2017 by Griffin Pinkow who was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at age 13. The foundation’s mission is to enrich the lives of the visually impaired and blind through sports and recreation.
