The Foreseeable Future Foundation has new scholarship and grant opportunities to help the visually impaired participate in athletic events.
New York (March 4, 2019): Until April 30, 2019, the Foreseeable Future Foundation (FFF), a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that works with visually impaired future and current athletes, is accepting applications for individual scholarships and grants for organizations. These scholarships and grants are meant to help individuals or teams participate in sporting events for the visually impaired.
Individual Scholarships
Individuals who want to participate in sporting or recreational events for the visually impaired can apply for a scholarship on the FFF website. Events may include:
- Marathons
- Triathlons
- Paracycling
- Paralympics
To apply, individuals will need to offer information about themselves such as their visual impairment and skill level. They will also need to have information on the event, such as who is hosting it, the location, and difficulty level. We invite participants of all skill levels and experience to apply.
Grants for Organizations
Organizations or teams that want to participate in an event to impact a larger amount of people can apply for a grant on the FFF website. Organizations may include:
- Camps
- Groups
- Teams
- Institutions
The organization’s applicant will need to supply the history of the organization hosting the event and what role they play in hosting the event and in the organization in general. They will also need to give information about the type of activity or event being hosted, its history, the leadership team, and the target participants the event or activity will affect.
The Foreseeable Future Foundation is passionate about bringing joy, new skills, and a healthy community to individuals who are visually impaired. Since 2013, the FFF has been building a strong foundation for the visually impaired community by raising awareness and creating opportunities for the blind.
