On October 30th, Foreseeable Future Foundation partnered with Old Mates Pub in New York City to host Come to Your Senses, a one-of-a-kind blindfolded dinner experience in the Harbour Room.

Guests were invited to heighten their senses, discovering flavors and textures in an entirely new way while gaining a deeper understanding of what life can be like for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
The evening was a celebration of community, awareness, and conversation. Many visually impaired guests and athletes joined us to share their lived experiences, helping sighted attendees understand the challenges and unexpected moments that come with navigating a meal without vision. From multi-course dishes to specialty cocktails and wine, every bite became an exploration, and every exchange carried meaning.
Nick Stone and Griffin Pinkow of the Foreseeable Future Foundation welcomed guests for the evening, helping set the tone for a night that was both fun and meaningful. Guests were encouraged to rely on their remaining senses, ask questions, and connect with those who experience blindness firsthand.

This blindfolded dinner was more than a meal, it was an opportunity to broaden awareness, build empathy, and spark meaningful dialogue. Many left with a deeper appreciation for the realities faced by the blind and visually impaired community, and for the importance of creating spaces where these conversations can happen.
We also want to extend a special thank you to Old Mates Pub for hosting this event and to everyone who purchased tickets. Your support helps the Foreseeable Future Foundation continue creating programs and experiences that uplift, empower, and educate.
The evening reflected the heart of our mission: bringing people together, strengthening connection, championing inclusion, and fostering a true sense of belonging.
