Foreseeable Future hosted a second speaker panel, this time featuring the founders and directors from Envision Blind Sports and NY Metro Blind Hockey, two organizations whose mission is to improve the lives of the visually impaired. Host Mark Farrell got the incredible success stories from Wendy Fagan and Ted Caputo on their journey, the success of their organizations and where they feel the need is to grow to make a lasting impact on the community.

Wendy Fagan

Wendy has been involved with the blind sports community for over 30 years. She has been directing camps at Slippery Rock University, in Slippery Rock, PA for the past 16 years. She founded and has been the director of ENVISION Blind Sports for the last three years. ENVISION Blind Sports is an organization that supports people who are blind or visually impaired by providing services and education to ensure they are getting ample opportunities to be physically active.

Ted Caputo
President @NY Metro Blind Hockey Club
Currently the President and founder of New York Metro Blind Hockey, a league that allows blind and visually impaired people of all ages and skill levels the ability to play an adapted form of ice hockey. Ted a native New Yorker who lives in Long Island with his wife and three children has worked in law enforcement for almost three decades. Ted is a Detective Sergeant as well as a volunteer Fire Department serving as a firefighter and EMT. Ted started NYMBH in 2017 and is working to have the sport recognized by the Paralympic committee with the goal to have the sport as part of the 2026 Paralympics games.
