Since then\, he has consulted with a number of fitness-minded tech firms like RunKeeper and Strava to make their digital applications more accessible. Brian is an outspoken advocate for people with blindness\, low vision and deafblindness and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Suffolk University.\nHe’s the author of “Walk In My Shoes: An Anthology of Usher Syndrome\,” and has run marathons across the country\, from Boston to Alaska. The target of bullying and ridicule as a child due to his vision led him down a dark road of depression and anxiety. Eventually\, Kevin found an outlet through the world of adaptive sports. In track and field\, Kevin has amassed 3 world titles\, 3 Pan American titles and the US Paralympic record in the discus. He also competed internationally for the USA Judo Paralympic team for 3 years. Miller\, LMSW\, began working with people of all ages who are blind\, visually impaired\, and multi-disabled in 1971. Since 1987\, she has been Executive Director/CEO of VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired\, an 88-year-old vision rehabilitation and social service organization in New York City. In addition to providing innovative and well-established vision rehabilitation and social service programs\, VISIONS owns and operates VISIONS Center on Blindness (VCB)\, a 37-acre residential rehabilitation and family support program in Rockland County\, New York\, and leases space for VISIONS at Selis Manor programs and an innovative senior center at the Selis Manor location in Manhattan.
